The Inner Lands: Something Stirs Film/Book Trailer
I wrote The Inner Lands first and foremost as an epic story but as a Film graduate, I always had film conversion in the back of my mind. A lot of the “big scenes” in the novel were designed around what would look great, not only in my imagination, but also brought to life by the power of the big screen.
When Carlo (my illustrator) sketched me a quick image of Draneth on the wall, I instantly knew this was the guy to work with if I wanted some book-related art done. With only a short scene description to work with, he’d totally understood the scene and, unlike me, he was able to realise his vision. A lot of illustrators work with stock images these days and Carlo’s hand-drawn style really stood out to me.
You’ll see some of his artwork adorning these very pages. The above trailer, he produced for free. Can’t recommend him highly enough. Carlo can be found at https://www.facebook.com/LICARTO7/.
