After a turbulent two years, fraught with change – some good, some bad – I have somehow managed to stitch together my second novel, The Inner Lands: Dark Tidings. Pending a final proofread, I aim to release late this summer (2020).
Some stats about the sequel. It’s 101,028 words long, over 10,000 words longer than the first book. I have edited the entire manuscript three times, removing 12,367 unnecessary words. I have only used the word “forlorn” once. It’s set 5 years after the original. I have absolutely no idea whether people will like it or not. After writing this statement, I suddenly feel the urge to cower in a dark corner.
